At the 1985 Academy awards, Sally Fields gave an iconic acceptance speech for the Best Actress Oscar. She exclaimed, “You like me, right now, you like me!" We all want to be liked and accepted. We want to be chosen. Very few of us will be chosen like Sally Fields for a special one of a kind award. But is that the pinnacle of #winning ? In Leviticus, we learn what the ultimate #winning looks like. It started with the Israelites. God chose them out of all the nations, tribes, and tongues to carry forth His covenant promises on earth. Leviticus 26:12 says “And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be my people.” God chose the Israelites. Not because they were the largest, most fierce or most populated nation. They were the opposite, but one through which God could showcase His power. And not for a ‘one and done’ award either. He chose them for the long term; to fulfill a very important purpose. From this nation would come the Savior of the world. He chose them to be an example of what it looks like to serve the one true God. God’s choice is good news for us. We are part of that heritage. When God chose Israel to bring forth the Messiah, He also chose everyone who would accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior. We are grafted in to the special relationship God has with the Israelites. He is our God and we are His people too. How does it feel to be chosen by your Heavenly Father? He likes you. He really likes you. Today, while you might be left out, slandered, overlooked, or simply small or insignificant by the world’s standards, know that you were chosen by God, creator of the universe and author of history, to be with Him for eternity. #fruitsoffaithministries #dailydevotion #trending #readthebible #readthebibleinoneyear #divinealignment #sarabroyhillanderson #sarabanderson #readthebiblein2023 #leviticus #ministry #setapartforgod

Prayer Workshop— Info Below || Prayer Strategy Tip: If you have been following my posts the last couple weeks, you will see that I have been discussing prayer to get us ready for the upcoming workshop! Info below: I have been posting specifically about ways to help us stay focused during prayer >> Have you ever thought of praying as you read your Bible or during your study time? Praying scripture takes us right to the heart of God— “Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.” James 4:8 NLT >> When I read my Bible or listen to scripture as I am on the treadmill, I take time to pray. When in the Word, It is really not that I “take time to pray”, BUT that God opens my heart and mind TO pray. Many times it is conviction— Some area I am struggling in that I need to stop doing or start doing and ask for God’s forgiveness and help. Other times as I am reading my Bible, God prompts me to pray for my family, a friend, the lost, the church, a situation or upcoming activities going on in my life. (Topics all in the workshop! ) >> God’s promptings of the heart must lead to action: God’s promptings of the heart most always lead me to pray and then to respond in further action. To go beyond. So I take what God taught me during my reading or studying and take action. Prayer is action. But almost always God calls me to more—repentance: Ask God’s forgiveness. Ask for His help. Then act. I (we) need to stop or start doing something, to start new. To walk in His ways rather than mine (ours). >> If you would like more tips on prayer, join in on the upcoming prayer workshop! Info below! Ladies Online Prayer Strategy Workshop Tuesday March 7 & 14 through Zoom 7-8:30pm EST >>> Ladies join in as we read the Word, pray the Word and respond to the Word. We will learn and implement one of my favorite ways to pray that helps me stay focused and is Christ centered called the Prayer Circle. Sign-up here! https://beforethebench.org/subscribe-%7C-contact >> Zoom link and the free pdf note taking handout with all information to participate, will be emailed to subscribers the week before workshop #prayerstrategy beforethebench.org Sandi Pierce, Before the Bench Women’s Ministry— Encouraging and Equipping Women with Biblical Truths to Grow in Christ and Share Jesus, our Savior #praiseHim #womenoffaith #proclaimGodsword #discipleshiptrainings #praytheword #biblicalwomanhood #TheBible #spiritualgrowth #presson #sharingtheheartofthegospel #discoverybiblestudy #jesusisoursavior #sharingyourtestimony #trustinthelord #WorshipTheLord #realtruthingodsword #godswordistruth #readthebible #jesusisthelivingword #jesusistheway #jesusisthetruth #jesusisthelife #biblestudy #discipleshipbiblestudy #ShareJesus #beforethebenchwomensministry #biblicalencouragement

Then act.
