Good morning Today’s devotional is called, “Let the Revelations Begin.” The scripture is 1 Timothy 2:3-4 ~ For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of truth. People go to great lengths trying to wring knowledge from God when all they need to do is go to the Bible. God’s not holding Himself back from anyone. It’s His will for every man and woman to walk in revelation of Him. Some may say, God’s not going to give all those sinners a revelation. Really? Then why would He send evangelists to preach to them? Why did He send His Word to reveal the truth! So, if we want to know that truth, we just need to open the Book and read it. All of it...not just the parts that are in red. Those aren’t the only parts Jesus said. He said everything in Genesis. He said everything in Numbers. He said everything in Deuteronomy. He said everything in Leviticus. He said everything in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. He said everything in Romans. He said everything in the Bible. He is the Word! In fact, if we’ll read Galatians 3, we’ll discover that every promise made to Abraham was for Jesus! It was the promises that brought Him. It was the promises that enabled Him to heal and deliver people. He didn’t minister by some special power no one else could have. He based His ministry on the revelations He’d received through faith in the written Word of God. When the devil came to tempt Him, He didn’t fight him off with a special legion of angels who’d been assigned to protect Him because He was God’s Son. He fought him off with the phrase, “It is written.” God has equipped us to do the same. He’s gives you and He’s given me His written Word, and He’s given us His Holy Spirit to help us understand it. He’s more than ready to give us the knowledge we need. We don’t have to wring it out of Him - just open up your Bible, start reading and let the revelations begin. And remember; God is good! God is for you!! God is faithful and you can do all things through Him because He strengthens you!!! Let’s pray; Dear Jesus, Thank You for leading me. I pray that Your strength and wisdom would be with me as I make decisions that follow Your path. Help me to put Your Word to the test in my life so that my obedience will be a blessing to everyone who sees You working in me. Lord, help me to stay focused on You so the obstacles that come up won’t seem impossible to overcome. I know all things are possible through You, and I thank You for the privilege of doing any small task that brings You glory. Let my name be forgotten and Yours be remembered. Thank you for your promises to me. I believe I receive. In Jesus’ Mighty Name! Amen Have a wonderful day #devotional #Godisgood #faithoverfear #readyourbible #WordOfGod #grace #believe #afrayedknot

Good morning Today’s devotional is called, “ Put the Word First.” The scripture is; Proverbs 4:5-6 ~ Get wisdom, get understanding; forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not and she shall preserve thee; love her, and she shall keep thee. Recently, God has been raising up ever growing numbers of people who are hungry. Hungry to know their Lord in a deeper way. Hungry to serve Him - in pulpits, on mission fields, in homes, in office buildings, and anywhere else He might choose to send them. They are people who simply aren’t content to find the path of least resistance and coast their way to heaven. No. They’re determined to run the race...to run as the Apostle Paul said, to obtain the prize. Spiritually speaking, they are on the road to excellence. Are you among them? If so, here are four simple words that, are believed, to enable you to run the race like a winner. Put the Word first. Whether your goal is to be an excellent evangelist or a first-rate engineer in the service of the Lord, it is the wisdom that comes from the Word of God that will get you there. Jesus said it this way, Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). So commit yourself right now to do whatever it takes to totally saturate yourself with the Word of God. Use every available moment to read, study, listen, and to meditate on it. It won’t be easy, but if you’ve made a definite decision to amount to something in the ministry of Jesus Christ and you are determined to take the Great Commission seriously, then be diligent. Put the Word first and there will surely be glorious victories ahead. And remember to keep saying; God is good! God is for me!! God is faithful and with Him all things are possible!!! Let’s pray; Dear Jesus, Your wisdom is more precious than rubies and pearls. I pray that I would diligently seek You in the decisions I make. Lord, I need your help today. Lead me to scriptures that apply to my life right now and give me a fresh understanding of Your Word. Help me to humble myself to receive correction and instruction, and to be cheerfully and respectfully obedient to Your Word. Lord, I know You will lead me out of confusion and make my path straight. I am laying aside all my worldly wisdom and putting my trust in You. Thank You that Your hedge of protection is around me and no weapon formed against me will prosper. I blessed and highly favored. I believe I receive. Amen Have a wonderful day #Devotional #Godisgood #wisdom #grace #faith #faithoverfear #TrustGod #prayer #afrayedknot #ReadYourBible #WordOfGod

Thank God for the Bible! What a treasure store it is — inspired by the Holy Spirit, authoritative as our rule for life, and drawing us to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, it’s filled with the words of life that we need to internalize. When we read (or listen to) the Bible rightly we submit ourselves to it (rather than using it to support our theology or agenda) and so we find that God surprises us with insights, convictions, and encouragements. The most important thing about Bible reading is the attitude we bring to it. Jesus confronted the Pharisees for reading the Scripture in a way that was deadly — they studied it diligently but refused to let it lead them to engage personally and lovingly with him as the Christ (John 5:39-40). How readily we make the mistake of putting our Bible reading on a To-Do List that we check off with a sense of accomplishment — this is a waste of time! Reading to get through the Bible is not enough — we need to let the Bible get through us. We need to submit to it, or, more accurately, we need to submit to its author, the Holy Spirit. The Bible is inspired by God (2 Tim. 3:16), but is our reading inspired by God? Are we listening to and relying upon the anointing of the Spirit as we read? (1 John 2:20, 27). The bottom line of our Bible reading, as in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, is that we hear the word and put it into practice (because we learn by doing and bearing the fruit of love for God and the people around us is what matters) — that’s a life built on a strong foundation (Matt. 7:24-27). Since good fruit grows from a good tree (Matt. 7:17-18), let’s lean into Bible reading that will help us to yield a bumper crop to God’s glory! . . . #soulshepherding #biblereading #dailybiblereading #devotionals #devotions #dailydevotions #dailydevotionals #timewithjesus #relationshipwithgod #bestillandknow #timewithgod #studytheword #scripturestudy #holyscriptures #lectiodivina #biblescriptures #biblestudymoments #morningdevotion #morningprayer #bibletime #readyourbible #prayertime #christianlife #followjesus

Day 72. Read Judges 4-5 Two women and two men are at the center of a dramatic victory for the Israelites. Deborah, who was a prophetess and a judge in Israel, listened to the voice of God and helped bring a crisis in the land to an end. She summoned a man named Barak with instructions that he was to take an army and march out to meet Sisera, the commander for King Jabin and his army. This king had oppressed God’s people for twenty years. It was not even safe for them to travel on the roads. They were under great hardship. Scripture tells us this went on “Until I Deborah arose, until I arose as a mother in Israel.” (Judges 5:7) The people had been crying out to the Lord for deliverance from this harsh king. God heard their cries and he called upon Deborah to take action. When this woman of God arose, the victory was set in motion. The LORD routed Sisera, his chariots and his army before Deborah and Barak. It was another woman who used wisdom and skill to complete the victory and end the life of Sisera, the enemy commander. Jael cleverly invited him into her tent and made him feel welcome and secure. Then as he slept, she drove a tent peg through his head. Such bravery on the part of these two women and one man put an end to the oppression of Israel. There was great rejoicing in the land as Deborah, Barak and Jael sang a song of victory. God is still looking for champions who will set the captives free. ©Margie Arends • #DeborahsArising #OneBiteAtATime #ReadTheBible #readingthebible #biblereadingchallenge #kalispell #kalispellmontana #montana #Deborah #Jael #biblereadingplan #momlife #hearinggod #bibledaily #biblegram #instabible #readthebible #readyourbible #thm #trimhealthymama #homeschool #homeschoolmom #womanofgod #womenofgod

Day 55. Read Deuteronomy 9-11 We often think about what we want from God, but how often do we think about what He wants? Our relationship with the LORD who made heaven and earth is meant to be born out of love for Him. It is good to acknowledge that He is powerful, but we need to know that He also longs for a people who will desire Him. “For the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.” (Deut. 10:17) Many people are familiar with His commands, but He wants us to know His heart. There are lots of teachings on obedience, but He is looking for those who obey Him simply because they love Him so much that to do anything else would be unthinkable. “You shall therefore love the LORD your God, and always keep His charge, His statutes, His ordinances, and His commandments.” (Deut. 11:1) In this passage that speaks of God’s requirements for His people, it is important to recognize that along with fearing Him and following His ways, He wants us to love Him. Love in this case is not a generic term. He is looking for those who recognize that He is good, that He loved us first, and that He paid the ultimate price for our love. These are the ones who will desperately love Him in return. Anything less is simply religion, an empty effort on our part. • #DeborahsArising #OneBiteAtATime #ReadTheBible #readingthebible #biblereadingchallenge #kalispell #kalispellmontana #montana #Deborah #Jael #biblereadingplan #momlife #momlife #hearinggod #bibledaily #biblegram #instabible #readthebible #readyourbible #thm #trimhealthymama #homeschool #homeschoolmom #womanofgod #womenofgod #bookofdeuteronomy #deuteronomy
