JESUS is COMING ONLY the LORD God the Father knows the Day and the Hour (Matthew 24:36). God’s Elect in the Kingdom of God must therefore NOT be concerned when is going to be that Day. What is MOST IMPORTANT is that we now have LIFE in JESUS CHRIST (John 14:6)! Our Lord JESUS CHRIST reminds us says: “WHOSOEVER LIVETH AND BELIEVETH IN ME SHALL NEVER DIE” (John 11:26). What did JESUS CHRIST do for the world? JESUS CHRIST died, rose from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of God making intercession for us (Romans 8:34). “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. [FOR AS IN ADAM ALL DIE, EVEN SO IN CHRIST SHALL ALL BE MADE ALIVE]” (1 Corinthians 15:21–22). Why then do you NOT BELIEVE in him? “For God so loved the world, that [HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON], that whosoever [BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD] not perish, but [HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE]” (John 3:16). “[HE THAT BELIEVETH ON THE SON HATH EVERLASTING LIFE]: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36). He is the true God and eternal life. — 1 John 5:20 Thought: Jesus came to reveal God to us. He has given us the clearest picture of what God is really like and how God would interact with us. Because of Jesus, we can know God, the only one who is truly genuine. Because we are in Christ, we can share a special bond with the Father and find a new quality of life in him. This is lasting life that won't end when our bodies die. This is eternal life that begins now (John 5:24), as we walk with him each day, and extends forever (John 3:16-17, 10:25-26). For the eternal and transcendent God to make himself known to us is grace. For him to make himself known to us in Jesus is salvation! Prayer: Holy and awesome Father, I know that I will enjoy your presence forever because my life is joined to you through Jesus. I love you for all you have done for me and the terrible price you paid to redeem me from my sins. I love you for creating me and having a plan for my life when no one else knew I was even conceived. Most of all, I love you for being God and choosing to be the kind of Father who wants his children to know and love him. In Jesus' name. Amen.
