Dr. Seuss once wrote, “It came without ribbons, it came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags … Maybe Christmas he thought doesn't come from a store, maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more.” This little quote has always been something that I've tried to remember every Christmas. We all need to be like Cindy Lou Who loved the Grinch just because he needed it; we all need to know we are loved. Her love was felt by him through her words and actions, and that is what broke through the Grinch’s tough, outer shell. It is said that his heart grew two sizes that day, and God’s love can do the same for us in our lives. Our daily lives and faithful actions can touch those we come in contact with. Christ died for us because he loved us. He wants us to return to live with him. He gave us the most precious gift… the Savior. Cindy Lou’s love broke through the Grinch’s shell, and God’s love, often, more noticeable during the Christmas season, is powerful enough to break through our own shells and those we come in contact with. The “Grinch” can be seen all around us in the world we live in but I choose to think that God’s love, seen through our actions, can soften hearts and bring the light of Christ into their lives and peace into their hearts. A kind word, a soft smile, a warm “Hello”, or a heartfelt card or gift are ways we can help soften hearts and make a mighty change in someone’s lives. God’s love is stronger, and mightier, than anything else and will always shine bright to beacon the way for all the Grinch’s in the world around us. Ezekiel 36: 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. We love and appreciate all of you and pray that God’s love will shine through you and touch those you come in contact with. “SHARE” God’s love and he will change even the “grinchiest” of hearts. Merry Christmas from our home to yours… may your hearts be filled with peace and may your home be filled with love. #martinhomestead #christmasspirit #Godslove #LightTheWorld
