Healing Words By GOD: 22 October 2022 Saturday of the Twenty-ninth week in Ordinary Time The Gospel of the Day Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 13,1-9. Some people told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with the blood of their sacrifices. He said to them in reply, "Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were greater sinners than all other Galileans? By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did! Or those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them --do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem? By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!" And he told them this parable: "There once was a person who had a fig tree planted in his orchard, and when he came in search of fruit on it but found none, he said to the gardener, 'For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none. (So) cut it down. Why should it exhaust the soil?' He said to him in reply, 'Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future. If not you can cut it down.'" 《The Gospel of the Lord 》 #OurLadyOfLourdes #BlessedVirginMary #DevineMercy #praytherosary #Godislove #bibleverseoftheday #readings #dailyreflections #bibleverse #biblequotes #psalms #3oclockPrayer #healing #healingprayer #gospel #quotes #catholiclife #SaintsOfTheDay #catholicism #motivation #GospelAndSaintsDaily #catholic

Gospel Sentinels Daily Devotional Not better than anyone – Saturday, October 15, 2022 Passage: Luke 13:1-3 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Message Spiritual pride is when you assume you are holy and every other person who does not practice Christianity like you is a sinner. It is very hard to judge people’s sins. Also, when. Bad things happen to people, we are easy to assume in our minds that they must have sinned so much that God has to punish them or they are not close to God enough. A similar narrative was presented to Yeshua in Luke 13. Christ has to warn the people who asked Him questions about the Galileans who were used as a ritual sacrifice by Pilate. No one is more of a sinner than the other. We are all sinners even if we assume that our works in the Church are excellent. In the eyes of God, only the righteousness of Christ over us is true righteousness. No human can be righteous by their own abilities. Therefore, we should not look down on anyone in trouble, but rather look inwards and repent. Meditate on: The need to focus on our spiritual life rather than judging everyone else around us. Prayer Heavenly Father, forgive me of my shortcoming and sins, in the name of Yeshua.
