Christianity is hard when we do not reflect the love, grace, and glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” Matthew 5:16 (NKJV). We reflect Jesus Christ best when we look in the mirror and remember who we are in Christ, “For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does” James 1:23-25 (NKJV). People expect Christians to be perfect reflections of Jesus Christ. The reality is that Christians are at different levels of their faith journey. Some are new to faith and trying to figure it all out, while others have learned how to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now, we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known” 1 Corinthians 13:11-12 (NKJV) Regardless of our level of faith, the only way to reflect the love, grace and glory of Jesus is to let Him live through us, “grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” John 1:17b (NKJV). I pray that everyone will see Jesus reflected in all that we do. https://whyischristianitysohard.com/ #WhyisChristianitysoHard #Christianity #Jesus #Disciple #Faith Sit Gratia Domini Iesu Christi vobiscum (May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you).
