God says many wonderful things about you, things such as: You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps 139:14). You are loved unconditionally (Jer. 31:3) and accepted (John 6:37). You are precious and honored in His sight (Isa. 43:4)

Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah
February 27th, 2023 04:14:53
Whenever you feel a twinge of envy or jealousy, let it remind you to thank God for how He has made and blessed you. Why do we envy others? Why does jealousy sneak in like a silent fog, clouding our vision of God’s blessings? It is because we fail to appreciate that God has blessed each person with unique gifts and abilities to be discovered and enjoyed by each one. The psalmist David wrote that God created each of us “fearfully and wonderfully,” in a “marvelous” way (Psalm 139:14). Therefore, our gifts and blessings are unique to us, as are those blessings God has given others. Paul wrote about gifts another way, likening us to the individual parts of the human body (1 Corinthians 12:14-26). Each part is unique and important and should be honored as such. Whenever you feel a twinge of envy or jealousy, let it remind you to thank God for how He has made and blessed you. Then put your blessings to use for Him and others!

Let me ask you: Can you look in the mirror and say, “God has made me special, and I am beautiful to Him?” Or, when you have prayed and asked for God’s help with the job you are doing, can you hear Him say, “It is good!”? I challenge you right now to believe that when God created you, He created something good. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. Psalm 139:14 (NKJV)

Yeah, you've got a million things coming at you, but you only pass by this way once — so we're not letting everything just pass us by. No way, we're not letting the to-do lists blind us to noticing good things, no way we're letting the calendar race us past real little wonders, no way we're letting the schedule anesthetize us to being awed by all these small glories. "I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! I worship in adoration—what a creation!" Ps.139:14 No way, it's not happening today: We're not letting the routines anesthetize us to routinely being filled with awe. We're not letting the everyday routines numb us out to the MIRACLE of LIVING every day... . . Quick! Name a little wonder, a small glory, in your life today. Name a gift, and let’s fill this day with the joy of gratitude for all the ways He loves! . . #TheWayOfAbundance #1000Gifts

There is a me I want to be, the one I’m trusting God to continually raise up, and then there is the me who seems to have mastered the art of self-sabotage, like Paul says in Romans 7:15. Like today, rather than breathing in all the goodness of God and overflowing in freedom and peace and love for those around me, I notice I’m lugging around some hefty resentments. I’m lamenting some painful regrets over past choices I’ve made. I’m bracing for potential hazards ahead of me. This is not exactly the me I am going for when I look in the mirror. I want beautiful lips, the kind that smile and kiss a skinned knee and speak thoughtfully. The kind that confess and ask forgiveness. I want strong arms, not for lugging resentments but for lifting up others the way I have been lifted so many times — arms that embrace and link with others through shared trials rather than brace for impact. I want the coolest shoes, the kind that walk the extra mile with a friend in need. And feet that race to do what is right, what is wise and good, never evil. The kind that bring good news. (Isaiah 52:7) I want to look in the mirror and see what God sees, not the mess of self that I often see. What He sees — His beloved and marvelous daughter. (Psalm 139:14) -Misty Arterburn ( Tyndale House Publishers ) What characteristics of Christ do you want to reflect today?

YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE January 4, 2023 “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well” (Psalm 139:14 NKJV). God has made each one of us in His image, perfectly designed with an identity ideally suited to accomplishing all He has called us to do. However, most of us do not reach adulthood with this identity intact. Instead, we form an image of ourselves based on information we’ve received from our parents, peers, and circumstances. Perhaps, like many, you were told you were stupid. Or maybe you were rejected by your peers because you looked different or failed in some way. If this is the kind of information you used to form your identity, then you will likely see yourself as a failure. By taking on that false identity of a failure, you will surely live your life in defeat. You can pray to God all you want, asking Him to change your circumstances, but until you change your identity nothing is going to change. Jesus Christ came to give you a new identity. He died and rose again to give you His identity. It is only in Him that you will discover the identity God intended you to have from the beginning of time. In Him you have been made the wisdom of God. You have status with God and man, and you are a winner in every situation in life. In Him you are a champion, not because of anything you did, but because of what God freely did for you in Christ. God says you are in Christ; therefore, every one of the 130 “in Christ” scriptures is talking about you. Determine today to throw off the old identity that is holding you back, and be who God says you are! Confession: I am not who people say I am. I am not who circumstances say I am. I am not who my past says I am, and I am not even who I think I am. I am who God says I am! Author: Jerry Savelle
