Jesus is speaking to you from the Bible. Will you believe what he says? "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this? “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. “Believe in God; believe also in me. "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life." Dear friend, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household. To all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent. Would you like to pray with us? I want to say two things to anyone who feels like they are in a dark place: you are not crazy, and you are not alone. Your circumstances may be black, but God says He is light. Trust in Him and He will give you a comeback. Life deals us blows, yes. Circumstances come up that are beyond our control, and obstacles keep us from living the life we dream of. Sometimes we even deal blows to ourselves. We make mistakes and wrong decisions and choose paths that are harmful, not helpful. But there is hope. You might be thinking “I need a comeback, but how do I get one?” Part of the beautiful solution that I can offer you is that the solution isn’t about you trying harder. The solution I’m pointing you to is a solution of faith. It’s not a formula, but there is real evidence that it works. The solution lies in a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you need a comeback now or need one in the future, the solution starts with praise. When you lift your hands in praise, you’re acknowledging that someone exists who’s greater than you. You don’t need to have all the answers. Acts 16:31 invites you to “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” That’s what hands lifted in praise to God represent. It’s the way humans respond when they don’t know where else to turn. Lift up your hands to believe again that although God has led you into this valley, His plan is not to leave you in this place but to give you a comeback and lead you all the way through.

Every human that has ever lived has faced the same problem: Their sin separates them from God. But the Bible offers a simple, straightforward solution, “the most joyful news ever announced, and it is for everyone” (Luke 2:10 TLB). The Bible says, “This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, ‘It is through faith that a righteous person has life’” (Romans 1:17 NLT). The Good News is that the death and resurrection of Jesus give you access to God. In other words, you can only get to heaven by trusting in God through his Son, Jesus Christ. How do you express faith in Christ? Here’s a simple, biblical guide: 1. Admit you need a Savior. We can’t get to God on our own. Heaven is perfect, and we’re not. But the Bible says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 NIV). 2. Believe in Jesus. The Bible is straightforward about what you need to believe for salvation: “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31 NLT). That means you believe Jesus is who the Bible says he is, and you trust him for your future with everything you have. 3. Confess your commitment to Jesus. Tell Jesus you trust him with your life. Confess that you believe in him and his promises. Jesus said, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark” (John 12:44-46 NLT). 4. Depend on God’s promises. You can rely on God’s promise in John 3:16: “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” (NLT). No matter what you’ve done or how long you’ve done it, God promises that everyone who believes in Jesus will live with him in heaven forever. Discover more in the "Eternal Realities" study!
