FREE TO ENJOY ABUNDANT LIFE December 7, 2022 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they my have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10 NKJV) Jesus came to set you free from every form of physical, mental, or emotional bondage so that you can experience the enjoyable, rewarding, and satisfying life that has been prepared for you. It is not God’s will that you put up with anything that robs you of this full and blessed life. He is a good God, and He wants you to enjoy your life. The Bible says, “If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36 NKJV). If you are in bondage to any detrimental habit or deadly emotion, Jesus wants to set you free from the power of that thing. He doesn’t want you to be crippled in your emotions, tormented in your mind, or sick in your body. He doesn’t want you bound by insecurity, fear, or sin. He wants you to be free to fulfill the assignment He has for you, and to live the abundant life that belongs to you. So, how do you get free from bondage? Jesus said, “If you abide in My word … you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31 NKJV). As you spend time reading and hearing the Word of God, He will show you the truths you need so that you can walk in your freedom. He will expose the hidden lies of the enemy that you have believed, and that have held you in bondage. He will speak to your heart, and His Word will set you free. Confession: Jesus has set me free from every bondage and evil scheme of the enemy. I receive the life He has already provided for me: a full, blessed, and abundant life.

GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE October 2, 2022 If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:31-32) There are a lot of Christians who are not convinced that God is for them. They mistakenly think God is somehow partly to blame for the bad things that happen to them (never mind their poor choices and decisions). How would you like to be commander-in-chief of an army where half of your troops don’t even know who the enemy is? They’ve got their weapons pointed towards headquarters, blaming you for all of their problems. As ridiculous as this sounds, it’s a pretty good description of God’s army. I’ve had people tell me about a particular trial they are facing and then ask, “Why did God let this happen to me?” They don’t realize that God is not against them—He is for them! Jesus made it clear who our enemy is when He said, “Your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8 NKJV) and “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10 NKJV). He went on in the same verse to say, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” It is the devil who comes to steal from you and to try to destroy you. God is a good God; everything He does is for your good and for your benefit. He will never ever cause a harmful situation in your life to prove something to you or to teach you something. You are so loved by God that He is willing to give you freely all things to enjoy. God is on your side! Confession: Father, I believe You are for me and not against me. I thank You that you are a good God who loves to freely give me all things.

THE PRESSURE OF TRIALS February 17, 2023 If you have been under the pressure of a trial, it is important that you do not blame the trial on God. God is not the author of trials or heaviness of spirit. Jesus came to bring you abundant life—it is Satan who is out to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). James 1:13 tells us that temptations, tests and trials are brought on by Satan, not God. Satan is the tempter; he is the one who brings condemnation to you. He is the one that brings the heaviness, not God. God wants you to know that, because Jesus was your substitute, you can endure anything Satan brings against you. If you will follow the instructions in His Word, you will come out on the other side of that trial like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did: untouched, unharmed and totally protected. That is when you bring glory to God – when you are a winner. God is not glorified when His children are beaten down, beggarly, and suffering. Even though Satan will bring situations to you and try to steal the Word of God out of your heart, you can bring glory to God when you take His Word and resist the devil until he flees (James 4:7). You are a testimony that God’s Word works. You are more than a conqueror through Him. You bring glory to God because you approach every situation knowing that Jesus was your substitute and that He has already given you the victory. Confession: Thank you Jesus for abundant life! I refuse to blame God for the trials in my life. I will stand on His Word and see the victory in every area of life! Author: Jerry Savelle
